One Of The Best Constipation Remedies

Constipation remedies will vary widely, depending on the age, sex and lifestyle habits of the sufferer. In most cases, constipation is related to diet, and the most popular constipation remedy is to simply add fiber to your diet. Fiber can be sourced from fresh fruits and vegetables, purees and juices, bran, whole wheats and even from popcorn!

Fiber is seen as being a natural remedy for constipation because it does not involve taking any artificial/chemical supplements. The best fiber is natural fiber. Another natural solution would involve a constipation herbal remedy that targets the colon and clears it of pounds of undesirable fecal matter which can clog and slow the digestive process. Products like Oxygen Based Colon Cleanse Powder help to breakdown the fecal matter that is sitting idle in the large intestine (colon) paving the way for a better flow of the stool through to the rectum. Most adults carry between 6-40lbs of fecal matter in the colon, so it’s obvious to see how an Oxygen based Powder colon cleanse could be a very helpful home remedy for constipation.

Other remedies for adults can be as simple as consuming 6-8 glasses of water a day. Water is an essential ingredient of our wellbeing and assists in flushing our digestive system of impurities and toxins which can lead to constipation. Exercise, or lack thereof, is seen as a cause of constipation because some believe that without regular exercise our metabolic rate slows, which means a longer digestive cycle and thus less regular bowel movement. Fact is, the longer the stool spends in your digestive system, the more water is excreted from the stool, which results in a harder stool which is more difficult and painful to pass.

Constipation in babies and infants is quite common, and again, diet is most likely to major cause (if your baby isn’t gaining weight or shows any other unusual symptoms, seek the advice of a doctor).  Breastfed babies seem to suffer constipation less than bottle-fed babies because formula-milk and cows-milk are harder to digest. But regardless of what type of milk a baby takes, if constipation occurs, the most natural (and simple) baby constipation remedy would be to administer more fluids, especially water (make sure it is boiled and cooled).

As babies grow and progress to more solid foods, constipation can occur. During the transition period from milk-only to a combination of milk and solids constipation will invariably occur as the digestive system has to get used to the new nutrients that it is receiving. Keeping up consumption of fluids (water/juice) is probably the best infant constipation remedy because fluids will help to keep the bowel movements regular. Also, introducing fiber-rich foods in the form of porridge, fruit and vegetables will assist in minimizing constipation.

Best Colon Detox Formula

August 15, 2010

Colon Detox Greenscolon detox is required for the removal of toxic and mucus buildup in the colon and assists in recovering natural balance of good and bad bacteria and the adequate absorption and production of enzymes and vitamins. Proper cleansing colon detox will help reduce food intolerance, improve skin appearance, reduce cellulite, improve energy, reduce weight, and enhance immune function.

Toxins and poisons are everywhere in our modern society.  Billions of tons of toxic chemicals are produced each year and end up in our air, water and soil. These toxins build up in our bodies over time.  Our systems, in fact, can become over run with these toxins which stress the body.  Energy is used to deal with these foreign substances which over time leave little energy to take care of every day functioning.  The result is fatigue, stress and a reduced ability to deal with disease. The human body is a complex machine which must be kept in tune to run at peak efficiency.

A toxic colon is a major factor in the development of food intolerance, malnutrition, and chronic ill health. The colon is a main organ responsible for ridding the body of toxic waste. When the colon is not functioning properly because of diet, stress, drugs, chemicals, parasites, and other substances, it tries to protect itself by producing more mucus.

This additional mucus can bind with the sludge from refined foods, such as white flour products, and build up on the wall of the bowel, narrowing the lumen, and reducing absorption of vital nutrients. This layer of gluey, hardened feces can weigh several pounds and is a good place for harmful organisms and bacteria to breed. Do not think because you have regular bowel movements, or even diarrhea, that you have escaped this problem.

The stool can pass daily through a dirty colon and leave the accumulated residue on the walls behind. There is no need to get panicky about the
amount of weighty colon sludge you might be carrying around with you: there is a great deal you can do about it including a colon detox.

How Can I eliminate Toxins from my Colon ?

July 25, 2010

Fiber for your Colon CleanseThe only real natural Colon Cleanse method is “changing your Diet”. All other methods involve taking supplements or chemicals, or include intrusive medical procedures.

Simply changing your diet can assist in cleaning your Colon and improving regularity. Including larger quantities of fresh fruit and steamed vegatables, as well as fiber-rich cereal and brans significantly help the colon to function correctly and can help to flush out ‘some’ of the compacted matter.

More and more people are suffering from health problems. These include abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, bloating, rectal discomfort, headaches, backaches, depression, fatigue, weight loss or weight gain etc.  A variety of natural colon cleansing or detoxifying diets can relieve many of these afflictions.

Many of these problems in part are caused by eating foods and drinks which are not what nature intended us to consume.  Our bodies are very similar to what they were in the Stone Age when our diets were very different. Low fat, high complex carbohydrates, high fiber diets are what are bodies are adapted for. In countries where this type of diet is the rule, obesity, heart disease, and other degenerative diseases are rare.

Diets should be light and nutrient rich and have a high water content. Drinking ample quantities of pure water is a necessity for any fasting or cleansing program.

Some of the most important natural diet changes include:

  1. Eliminate the use of dairy products
  2. Double your intake of vegetables
  3. Cut in half the amount of meat
  4. Drink 8 to 10 Glasses of bottled or filtered water
  5. For breakfast eat a whole grain cereal with Soya Milk
  6. Eat Fruit, sip on fruit or vegetable juice between meals.
  7. Eat as much fruit as you want but do not drink more than 6 ounces of fruit juice per hour.
  8. As a snack, eat at least 2 hours before retiring, you can have soup (non-creamed), fruit or vegetable salad. Use a non-fat dressing.

What are the Signs of Colon Cleanse Cancer ?

May 02, 2010

Colon Cancer Colon cancer refers to cancer that occurs in the large intestine. Colon cancer is sometimes referred to as colorectal cancer, which includes cases of rectal cancer. Rectal cancer occurs in the last eight to ten inches of the large intestine. Only lung cancer is responsible for more U.S. cancer deaths than colorectal cancer. It’s estimated that about one out of every 17 Americans will suffer colon cancer to some degree during their lifetime. Considering how widespread colon cancer is and the dangers to health and life that are associated with it, you really should be aware of the signs of colon cancer.

Colon cancers usually start out as colon polyps. Polyps are clumps of cells that may begin to grow on the walls of your intestine. These are often not dangerous, but in some cases they become cancerous. Most physicians recommend the removal of these polyps as soon as they are found instead of waiting for signs of colon cancer. Routine removal of polyps from the colon stops cancer before it has the chance to start.

Colon cancer can develop at any age, but is relatively rare before age fifty. About 90 percent of colon cancers occur in people who are older than 50, making age one of the biggest risk factors for the disease.

Any change in your bowel habits should be reason enough to visit your doctor. Changes include the onset of constipation or diarrhea, or noticeable changes in your stools. The signs of colon cancer–and whether you experience any symptoms at all or not–will depend on the size and location of the cancer. When colon cancer is in the early stages, there are often no signs at all. That’s why regular screening is recommended if you are at risk for developing colon cancer.

If you begin to pass stools that are more narrow than normal, or if you notice that your stools contain traces of blood, you should schedule an exam. Many people tend to dismiss small amounts of blood, thinking instead that they are simply suffering a temporary bout of hemorrhoids. Nobody wants to visit the doctor alarmed about the possibility of cancer and then learn that it wasn’t serious after all. The tragedy is that as many as 90 percent of patients with colorectal cancer dismissed early signs of colon cancer like rectal bleeding and itching, believing instead that nothing serious was wrong.

Sometimes colon cancer can present itself through persistent abdominal pain. Painful signs of colon cancer can take the form of frequent gas pains, uncomfortable bloating, a feeling of fullness, or sharp, stabbing cramps. Some people report a feeling of not being able to completely empty their colon. Although weight loss may seem like a benefit to many people, having any sort of weight loss that’s not explained by your diet can be an indicator of developing colon cancer. Talk with your doctor about any unexpected changes in your weight. Other signs of colon cancer include persistent fatigue and vomiting.

There may be no signs of colon cancer whatsoever in its early stages, causing many to refer to colon cancer as a “silent killer.” Because colon cancer can start growing without any noticeable symptoms, it’s vital to get screened regularly for the disease. Your doctor may schedule you for a colonoscopy and recommend a blood test called a CEA assay. This test will look for signs of carcinoembryonic antigen, a protein that is often present in higher levels in patients with colon cancer. Heeding the signs of colon cancer and treating it early will greatly multiply your chances of survival. Some studies predict that regular screening of anyone over 50 could reduce the number of colon cancer deaths by as much as half.

Early detection and preventive measures could reduce the incidence of colon cancer by up to 90 percent. Dietary changes that help to prevent colon cancer include getting more grains, fruits and vegetables. The main focus is to increase the amount of fiber in your diet. You should also try to limit fat as much as possible. Make sure that you’re taking in an appropriate amount of vitamins and minerals, which shouldn’t be difficult with a healthy diet.

Lifestyle changes can also help you avoid the signs of colon cancer. If you smoke, quit as soon as possible. If you drink alcoholic beverages, try to drink less. Put more movement into your life. An active lifestyle will also make it easier for you to maintain a healthy body weight. Try colon cleansing. Many find that a regular natural Colon Cleanse not only improves the health of your colon, but also gives a lift to your overall well-being. The good news is that a combination of regular screening plus diet and lifestyle changes can lower your risk of developing the disease.
